Garden Office Studio

A short while ago a potential client came to us seeking a garden studio room, that both himself and his wife could relax in and work comfortably. The criteria for this garden studio room was it had to be big enough to house both of them and all of their materials. They also wanted a lot of light to ensure that they could work until dusk. Finally they also requested that we add a little decking to the outside of the studio so they may relax outside if the weather was good.

For this garden studio room project we built a good sized garden studio with double doors on two sides, as per the request of the owners, we also ensured that there was plenty of light by installing windows either side of the double doors. Garden Studio Room

We have recently completed this L Shaped Garden Office for a client; despite the cold weather the garden office was still completed on time. This commission included the pent roof that has become very popular with many of our designs and gives excellent drainage into the garden that can be recaptured and reused during the warmer months...

In the early summer of this year we were contacted by a potential client who was seeking a garden studio office where he could work through the day at his own pace. He would also like to use the garden office as his person "breathing space" where he could read his books and relax without being disturbed by the usual interruptions that he would have if he was working in his home.

After visiting his home and garden, we decided the best location for his garden studio office would be in the far corner where there resided a small rockery. This particular area of the garden provided him with plenty of natural light to read by and was sufficiently spacious to allow him to conduct his working business uninterrupted. Garden Studio Office

Recently we were commissioned by a client to build an appropriate garden office for their business, the criteria was simple, a nice looking 3 person garden office that they could invite their clients to.

We sat down expecting a lengthy chat about the design of the building, but this is a first, the client had actually drawn up a good sketch of how they wanted their new garden office to look. Although rough, the principles and general shape was all there. We recommended to the client that once we complete the design process for his 3 person garden office, we submit the plans to their local council offices for approval, they agreed and we went back to put their ideas into a real workable design using the computer. 3 Person Garden Office

In February this year we were contacted by an artist who was seeking a garden studio for his garden in Kent. His initial intentions were to simply have a retreat where he could happily paint during the winter months. When we met in person a week or so later, his ideas had changed somewhat to a larger garden office where he could work whatever the weather and also store all of his artist materials when not in use. The original plans went out of the window so to speak, and we sat down and discussed exactly what was needed and we tailored a design to suit his exact requirements. Large Garden Artists Studio

Our client needed a building to provide extra space for their expanding mail order business. The project was designed suit the garden setting and existing landscape.. 3.6m square with corner entrance door providing cover and attractive pyramid roof. Our brief was "to provide the complete Garden Office projectready to move in"

The building is of similar visual design to a Dutch supliers summerhouse range (once dominant and still available in UK). Our own version of this design has many improvements. All the timbers are redwood which is denser, more stable and has longer life than the imported product. The corner post frame structure is rigid and prevents timber shrinkage becoming visible. Most importantly we are able to manufacture these kits at 25% below the imported cost of the Dutch suppliers equivelant mainly due to economic changes over the last four years Corner Garden Office

Our client wanted a hip roof building 5.4m long and 3.6m wide for use as a writers studio with some storage / library space. The structure would need to stand on a steeply sloping site overlooking the garden. A staircase entrance and some kind of outdoor deck / seating area would be necessary to provide access and child safety.

Our client needed to release house space to expand their kitchen facilities. Their home gymnasium would have to be moved to the garden. The floor would need to be exceptionally strong to support the heavy gym kit. A storage shed needed to be replaced at the same time with an extension structure of the same quality as the new gym. A traditional timber frame solution was designed with two sets of tri-fold doors. The flat roof (edpm covered) extension was designed take advantage of the site space available and have the potential for conversion to a bathroom at later date. Large Garden Studio
